Let us help you plan your dream cruise through the Panama Canal.
This is your cruise invitation to view one of the greatest feats of engineering on the planet, the Panama Canal. We have traveled through the Panama Canal on multiple occasions and want to share our knowledge of this unique destination with you so that you can make the most of your trip.
Depending on how much time you have for your vacation, there are many wonderful options from which to choose. There are round trip itineraries from the West Coast (San Diego, Los Angeles, Long Beach) down to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica before going under the Bridge of the Americas (which connects North America to South America) and then passing through the amazing Miraflores Locks into Gatun Lake and then doubling back to the departure port. Alternatively, there are some great deals on repositioning cruises when ships are being moved to a new region--out of Alaska to the Caribbean in September for example--starting on the West Coast passing through the Panama Canal, exiting Lake Gatun through the Gatun Locks and entering the Gulf. Once in the Caribbean Sea, ships will stop at places like Columbia, the "ABC Islands" of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, or Puerto Rico, and ultimately disembarking in Texas, Louisiana, or Florida. Also, there are some fantastic itineraries that actually stop in Panama City to allow guests to get off of the ship and view other cruise and cargo ships transiting the canal from the ground up, which is an amazing way to experience this wonderful destination. The photos below were taken on our various voyages to and through the Panama Canal.
Once on board the ship, there are lecturers who talk about the history of the canal and explain the significance on trade that continues today. And, during the transit which can take the better part of a day, expert speakers narrate the transit to explain all of the inner workings as it happens. This is an amazing vacation which will dazzle everyone in your party from the history buff to the engineer!
We hope that you will enjoy this virtual tour. Please call us for more information and to book your dream cruise to the Panama Canal to experience firsthand this amazing engineering feat.
